Summer Volunteers

Each week our camps need several volunteers in order to make our programs complete. Please take a moment to look through some of the volunteer roles below to see where your talents could be used best. Thank you for taking the opportunity to serve Christ together!

Possible Summer Volunteer Roles

Year round Volunteers

Camps have been built and maintained through the skills and dedication of volunteers. We would not be able to continue this life-changing ministry without their efforts. Individuals or groups are welcome. Volunteers are needed every season of the year. If you are a member of Thrivent please consider one of the HopeWood Outdoors camps for a Helping Hands Project.

Call the HopeWood Outdoors office for information regarding volunteers for promotion, board members and office. Contact the camp of your choice regarding volunteer projects for facilities, grounds and festivals.

  • Festival Volunteers

    • For the day of the festivals volunteers are needed to provide:· activity support including face painting, crafts, games, projects· food support including serving and cooking· general support including parking lot greeters, cashiers, and help with the auctions

  • Retired Volunteer Corp

    • LMC at HopeWood Pines is looking for participants to join our Retired Volunteer Corp. Can you come up once a week either on your own or with others throughout the year to assist with those tasks our facilities staff just can't seem to get done? Indoor painting, fixing screens or doors, building cabinetry is just a few of the many ongoing year-long projects. Are you, or someone you know, skilled in small engine repair or auto/truck engine repair to assist with getting mowers ready for a busy season. Give HopeWood Pines a call and let's chat.

  • Eagle Scout & Girl Scout Projects

    • We have worked with many Eagle Scout and Girl Scout troops design and oversee numerous wonderful projects at camp. Support the camps that have meant so much to you by completing your Scout Project at one of our camps.

Central Office Volunteers

The projects in our central office will include mostly administrative tasks and several can be accomplished at home. The projects include stuffing envelopes, addressing postcards, and packing camp marketing materials.
