Celebrate God’s beautiful creation with the entire family at Camp Luther! Strengthen your family relationships with each other and with God as we transform camp into a Family-friendly harvest themed celebration. There will be plenty of opportunities for Trick-or-Treating, pumpkin carving, hayrides, scarecrow building, bonfires, and more. Camp Luther wouldn’t be complete without family devotions, chapel time, inter-generational games, and family-style meals. Join us for a weekend with your family at Camp Luther.

October 7-9, 2022/May 5-7, May 12-14, May 19-21, 2023 - All ages

We need your help at HopeWood Shores to open Camp Luther in the spring and close camp in the fall. Servant projects could include raking trails, painting, cleaning, and special building projects. After you are done working, take time to relax by a campfire or enjoy a sunset over Lake Erie. We welcome all ages to serve over the weekend to help improve Camp Luther. Servant weekends require online registration; there is not a fee, but we do accept free-will donations to help pay for food, insurance and project supplies.

January 6-8, 2023 - Grades 6-8; Student Leaders Welcome

Get out of the building and into the MiX during this high energy middle school retreat. This retreat will keep you on the move with campfires, hiking, gaga ball, team builders and other sport activities. We will have time for worship, discovery Bible study, prayer and engaging discussion. X is the Greek letter Chi for Christ! The MiX is designed to give church leaders a chance to participate with their congregation while providing the opportunity to meet separately from the other groups. You will need to provide 1 adult chaperone, per gender, for every 1-10 youth participants.

January 13-15, February 10-12, March 17-18, 2023 - Confirmation aged youth

Enhance your congregation’s confirmation experience by stepping out of the church and into the woods. During the weekend you will explore the theme “Love to Serve” with hands-on discovery Bible study activities that will engage your group. Grow closer together while hiking through the woods, sitting around a campfire and learning about God. Retreat participants will sleep in heated cabins. Retreats are programmed by camp staff and give adult leaders the opportunity to connect with their congregation outside of the church. You will need to provide 1 adult chaperone, per gender, for every 1-10 youth participants.

February 17-18, 2023

Come and experience a great introduction to camp through an overnight stay in cabins with familiar friends. Your time will be filled with fun activities, team building, worship, and discovery Bible study. Take time to hike through the woods and play some great games. Everything is planned by camp staff, giving adults time to spend with the youth of their congregation. You will need to provide 1 adult chaperone, per gender, for every 1-10 youth participants.
