RetreatRun Through the Pines 5K Run/Walk

 
Calling all runners and walkers! Join others from across the state for the annual, 5K cross-country run/walk through the beautiful grounds and pine forest at Camp Mowana. Runners and walkers of all ages and ability levels are invited to participate in this great, fun event - part of the Ohio Subway Challenge Series!

Advance registration is $20 per runner ($25 race day) and $10 per walker ($15 race day). You can register on-line at https://www.signmeup.com/68866. Registration forms are also available at www.lomocamps.org. All proceeds benefit summer youth camperships. Fall Festivals Retreat

 

This is a perfect opportunity to bring the entire family to camp to enjoy autumn at its festive best! There are activities for all ages including live music, great food, crafts, hayrides, auction items and much more! Auction items typically include theme baskets, beautiful hand-made quilts, quality handcrafted items, art work, homemade baked goods, excursions, and much more! Reservations are not necessary.

Admission is free. Food and activities are all at reasonable prices, with all proceeds benefiting summer youth camperships. Come out and enjoy the fun!

RetreatJourney to Bethlehem


Experience the Christmas story as you never have before! More than a live nativity, this dramatic presentation will literally walk you through the events leading up to the birth of Jesus. This is a memorable and unique family experience. Written and directed by Pastor Paul Lintern of Oakland Lutheran in Mansfield. Reservations required. Free-will offering.

 

Saturday, December 4 and Sunday December 5, 2010 from 3-7pm at Camp Mowana, by reservation.

 


 
Holiday Luncheons and DinnersRetreat

 
Are you looking for a unique setting for your Christmas or holiday dinner, recognition event, or family gathering? During the month of December we "deck the halls" with greenery, table linens, candle light, and a fire in the fireplace! Choose from a variety of full dinner or luncheon options, and enjoy the beauty of camp during the holidays. There is a minimum group size of fifteen people.

RetreatMaple Syrup Festival

 
There's nothing like the taste of fresh maple syrup on pancakes! Let a Naturalist show you how to identify and tap maples; then help collect the sap! As the sugaring mist wafts its way, see if you can tell the difference between non-maple syrup and "The Real McCoy!" Sample maple donuts and sassafras tea, and shop for baked goods and maple syrup. Reservations are not required.

The meal cost is $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children (ages 5-12). All proceeds benefit summer youth camperships.

Mother's Day BrunchRetreat

 
Relax, and celebrate Mother's Day this year in the beautiful surroundings of Camp Mowana. A full brunch will be served in the comfortable setting of the Fleming Falls Retreat Center.
