Mother's Day Brunch 2012 PDF Print E-mail

 

Mothers DayRelax and celebrate Mother's Day in the beautiful surroundings of Camp Mowana. A full brunch will be served in the comfortable setting of the Fleming Falls Retreat Center. Sittings are at 12:15 pm and 2:00 pm.

Maple Syrup Festival 2012 PDF Print E-mail

 

FestivalsThere's nothing like the taste of fresh maple syrup on pancakes! Let a Naturalist show you how to identify and tap maples; then help collect the sap! Amidst the sugaring mist, see if you can tell the difference between non-maple syrup and "The Real McCoy!" Sample maple donuts and sassafras tea, and purchase maple syrup and fresh baked goods. Reservations are not required.

 

Admission is free; the meal cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children (ages 5-12). All proceeds benefit summer camperships.

HolidayAre you looking for a unique, relaxed setting for your holiday dinner, recognition event, or family gathering? During the month of December we "deck the halls" with greenery, table linens and candle light, with a fire in the fireplace! Choose from a variety of full dinner or luncheon options, and enjoy the beauty of camp during the holidays. The minimum group size is fifteen.

Journey to Bethlehem 2012 PDF Print E-mail

 

JourneyExperience the Christmas story as you never have before! More than a live nativity, this dramatic presentation will literally walk you through the events leading up to the birth of Jesus. This is a memorable and unique family experience. Written and directed by Pastor Paul Lintern of Oakland Lutheran in Mansfield.

 

Reservations required. Free-will offering.

Fall Festivals 2012 PDF Print E-mail

 

FestivalsThis is a perfect opportunity to bring the entire family to camp to enjoy autumn at its festive best! There are activities for all ages including live music, great food, crafts, hayrides, auction items and much more! Auction items typically include theme baskets, beautiful hand-made quilts, quality handcrafted items, art work, homemade baked goods, excursions and much more! Reservations are not necessary. Admission is free. Food and activities are all at reasonable prices, with all proceeds benefiting summer youth camperships. Come out and enjoy the fun!

Mowana 5K Run/Walk 2012 PDF Print E-mail

5K

 

Join runners from across the state for this annual 5K trail run and walk through the beautiful grounds and pine forest at Camp Mowana. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate, with awards in fourteen divisions. Go to www.rsracingsystems.com to register online.

Registration: On-line registration available at: www.rsracingsystems.com. All proceeds will go to provide "camperships" for youth who cannot afford to attend camp. Camp Mowana is a 501c(3) charitable organization.


Entry Fee: For 5K Run or Walk is $20.00 pre-registered, $25.00 race day. Family Entry for 5K Run or Walk is $60.00 pre-registered, $80.00 race day (limit four per household).


Awards: 5K run - the top three male & female will receive awards plus the top three in each age group: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.


Awards: 5K walk - the top two male & female will receive awards plus the top two in each age group: 9 & under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.


New Event: FREE - Kid's Fun Run at 8:40am: Every child gets an award!


Course: The course is a Cross-Country course. You will run though a barn, by a tee-pee, through the pine forest, and on the ridge of a waterfall. It is a very scenic course. The run and walk will cover the same route.

After the Race: Post race refreshments plus the swimming pool will be open from 9:30am-11:30am, so bring your family and have a great time together in this beautiful 183 acre setting!
