Lutheran Outdoor Ministries in Ohio (LOMO) is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Ohio for the three Synods in Ohio of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, ELCA. The three synods are Northwestern Ohio, Northeastern Ohio and Southern Ohio. LOMO serves as the outdoor ministries organization for the synods. We are a ministry sponsored by the ELCA to reach out to all people regardless of race, national origin, sex, disablilty or ancestry.

Our Purpose

*  Outdoor ministries among Lutherans in Ohio facilitate the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by enabling God's people to experience and affirm interrelationships with God's creation and intentional Christian community, and

*  By helping congregations, families, and individuals of all ages and all needs grow in Christian faith and witness, and

*  By inspiring spiritual renewal through encounter with scripture, experience of the environment, worship, learning, recreations, and relationship building, and

*  By offering opportunities and settings within and beyond the parish for prayer, praise, thanksgiving and service.

Governance

LOMO is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are responsible to provide the vision, direction, mission and purpose of LOMO.
